OVERVIEW: The room inspector is responsible for making sure the cleanliness of all hotel guest rooms is up to the standards, following the high cleaning standards while providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests.

WORK RESPONSIBILITY

• Inspect rooms making sure the cleanliness is above the cleaning standards
• Work with the room attendants on training them how to clean properly following our 4-diamond standards
• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
• Maintain regular attendance 
• Follow all the safety and work procedures
• Report any room damages to the Front Desk
• follow the lost and found procedures
• Treat your co-workers with respect
• Clean guestrooms when needed

WORK REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to communicate information and ideas clearly.
• Able to evaluate and choose and alternative plan of action quickly and accurately.
• Work well in stressful and high pressured situations.
• Effective at managing workplace problems, which include anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
• Effectively listen, understand, and clarify concerns and issues raised by co-workers and hotel guests.
• High School Diploma or GED Diploma
• 2 + years of cleaning experience 
• Flexible and long hours are sometimes required
• Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and /or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand during entire shift
• Ability to withstand temperature variations, both hot and cold.
