Bell Attendant

OVERVIEW: Bell Attendant is responsible for assisting guests throughout their stay in a friendly and professional manner. They make their presence in the lobby welcoming every guest this includes but is not limited to, assisting with bags, upkeep of the lobby area, opening doors, monitoring the Porte Cache/Driveway, and assisting Front Desk/Concierge in responding to guest needs. Bell Attendant will assist with any banquet functions when needed.

WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays as required
  • Maintain presence at the Lobby Front Entry Door and Bell Podium
  • Have a great attitude
  • Provide exceptional guest service utilizing The Anaheim Hotel Service Culture and H.E.A.R.T Steps
  • Keep Port a Cache clear and safe from vehicles 
  • Knowledge of software system to troubleshoot. Preferred Micros Opera Systems
  • Be able to assist Front Desk including: Room moves, luggage assists, packages, deliveries and lobby presence
  • Be knowledgeable of Concierge procedures in order to assist when needed
  • Complete daily shift checklists
  • Must work with all aspects of the Front Office including: Front Des, Concierge, PBX, Housekeeping, Engineering
  • Must be fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and the Opera System
  • Knowledge of the surrounding area including direction & tourist destinations. 
  • Able to fulfill guest requests in a timely manner and able to multitask dealing with several requests at a time
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
  • Must be knowledgeable and possess the ability to perform all clerk essential functions and supportive functions
  • Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time. Perform lobby ambassador duties.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 75lbs
  • Be trained on Utility Cart Safety
  • Learn all aspects of banquet functions and banquet set ups.
  • Ensuring procedures are followed when dealing with all safety and security issues are concerned in the front office.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Previous Customer Service or Hotel Experience Preferred
